Noise.io Synthesizer
This is my first mobile app, released in 2008, just months after Apple introduced their iPhone Developer Program. The development took nearly 7 months.
Noise.io proudly became the world's first mobile sound synthesizer. Remarkably it wasn't just a toy or gimmick for showing off, - the app, featuring advanced ESFM synthesis model, was capable of producing a whole lot of unique, evolving timbres.
It was truly an immense project. Limited screenspace (480x320) led to the need of dozens of screens in order to provide good control of the vast array of the synthesis parameters. There was no Interface Builder at that time so I had to come up with a custom HTML->XIB converter.
The app became hugely successful and basically started the scene of iOS music creation apps. It was featured by Apple many times.
Due to the shift of my professional interests, and increasing competition from major synth makers, Noise.io was discontinued several years after the release. I still own the IP and the app, so I hope to re-create it sometime.
